Menno Dereu
Xylømgø is a Belgian neo-classical and electronic composer - born Menno Dereu - working within the New Dreamtime universe, an expansive world where music, ecology, and speculative storytelling converge. His work blends piano minimalism with cinematic sound design, deep atmospheric bass, and environmental textures, creating narrative-driven soundscapes that feel closer to memory than performance.
Trained in classical piano and active as an educator in Belgium, Xylømgø brings a strong compositional foundation to his immersive, contemporary sound. Alongside his neo-classical work, he is also an internationally touring artist, widely known for his high-profile electronic project Løgømyx, a background that informs his distinctive balance between restraint and scale.
Rather than focusing on standalone releases, Xylømgø builds interconnected worlds where memory, transformation, and coexistence are central themes. Hollow represents the state of reflection and loss that precedes renewal, completing the emotional arc alongside Bloom as the project moves toward the full album Symbiosis.
